Resident director for non-resident owners in Luxembourg
You own a Luxembourg company without living here. Depending on the activity, the bank and the business permit, a manager present in Luxembourg may be needed. We introduce you to a qualified professional for a real, documented mandate.
- A genuine mandate, never a nominee
- Scope, liability and fees in writing before appointment
- Coordinated with formation, bank and permit

In short
Luxembourg law requires neither nationality nor residence to be a manager. For an activity that needs a business permit, however, the manager must ensure effective and permanent management through physical presence at the establishment. If no shareholder can, a resident manager or director can be appointed, provided the person truly performs the role.
No nominees
We do not offer a front manager. The permit rests on professional standing and a real link between the manager and the business. A signatory who does not manage exposes the company, its shareholders and themselves to refusal or withdrawal of the permit, and to banking difficulties.
Not included in our formation fees
- Director’s fees: billed by the professional, on quote.
- Registered office and office space: never included, introduction only. A registered address is not a physical establishment.
- Tax advice: place of effective management can have tax effects. Have it checked by a tax adviser.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a resident manager to form a company in Luxembourg?
No, residence is not required to be a shareholder or manager. Physical presence may still be needed for effective management of a permit-regulated activity.
Can I appoint someone who only signs?
We advise against it. Professional standing and a real link with the business are assessed.
