Our editorial policy and verification rules
Published on 10 October 2026 · Updated on 10 October 2026
In short
The editorial policy of businessregistration.lu describes how each page is written and verified: official Luxembourg sources cited at the foot of the page, publication and last update dates, legal rules reviewed at every reform, and any significant correction recorded in a public log. General information is kept separate from our commercial offers.
How a page is written
- 1
One question, one page
Each page answers a specific intent: forming a SARL, obtaining a business permit, declaring beneficial owners. Neighbouring topics are covered on their own page and linked together.
Writing - 2
Checked against official sources
Every amount, deadline and condition is verified on Guichet.lu, the Luxembourg Business Registers, Legilux, the Ministry of the Economy, the AED, the CCSS or the CSSF.
Writing - 3
Cautious wording
When a rule depends on the situation or a source is not clear-cut, the page says so and refers you to the competent professional.
Writing - 4
Dating
The date of the last update appears on the page. Dated figures state the date on which they were verified.

Our rules
- Sources: official websites only for legal, administrative and tax facts, listed on the official sources page.
- Figures: no invented figures, no guaranteed deadlines, no success rates or client volumes that cannot be verified.
- Revisions: affected pages are reviewed at every reform, and the correction is recorded in the corrections log.
- Vocabulary: exact legal terms, such as licensed accountant, lawyer, notary, business permit.
Information and commercial offer
Our guides and resources give general information that holds for everyone, whether or not you use our services. Our offers and prices appear on separate pages, such as the pricing page, and in clearly identified call-to-action blocks. General information is not personalised legal, tax or accounting advice.
Report an error
If you notice inaccurate or outdated information, write to us from the contact page, stating the page and the source you think contradicts our text. We check, correct if needed and record the correction in the corrections log.

Frequently asked questions
Do your pages replace legal advice?
No. They give general information checked against official sources, as of the date shown. Your situation may call for a different answer depending on the legal form, the activity or your residence. For personalised advice, consult a lawyer, a notary or a licensed accountant, depending on the question.
How often are the pages updated?
Pages are reviewed as soon as a reform or an official source changes a rule they describe, not on a fixed calendar. The date of the last update appears on every page, and substantive corrections are listed in the corrections log with the pages concerned.
