In short
A registered office transfer in Luxembourg is a change of the seat address within the country. The management decides it if the articles allow, otherwise a meeting amends the articles before a notary. The RCS filing follows within one month, then the AED, the CCSS, the bank and the Ministry of the Economy are informed if the authorised establishment moves.

Frequently asked questions
Is a notary needed to transfer the registered office?
Not if the articles authorise the management to transfer the seat within Luxembourg: a resolution of the management is then enough. Otherwise, the amendment to the articles is received by notarial deed at an extraordinary meeting. Check the articles first, then file the change with the RCS within one month.
Does the business permit follow the registered office?
The permit is tied to the establishment. If the place of activity changes, the Ministry of the Economy must be informed. The transfer of the seat also involves informing the AED, the CCSS and the bank, in addition to the RCS filing within one month.
